Cooking up Culinary Tours

A.B.’s company offer culinary tours of Jerusalem to groups. He is also an officer in the Paratroopers brigade, and served more than 350 days in Syria and Lebanon during the war. He has been supported by a MATI mentor since 2022, and has participated in several of our workshops and our AutoMATI program. During his deployment, business automation enabled his employee to manage the business alone and continue functioning during this challenging period. As he rebuilds his business after the war, MATI is providing end-to-end support including graphic design, advertising, client recruitment and payment processing.

Gura Berger

Saving Time Through Digital Transformation

As a senior consultant to Israel’s tourism sector, Gura Berger’s business vanished when the COVID-19 pandemic stopped international tourism in 2020. Domestic tourism was suddenly the only option, and MATI stepped in to help Jerusalem’s tourism professionals to develop sustainable models for local tourism under tight COVID restrictions. Gura’s AutoMATI consultant created automation tools for managing her employees and clients, and a new CRM system enabled her to follow up efficiently with clients and partners. “Today I manage everything from my phone on the move. The AutoMATI program is self-funding through the subsidized fees that we charge to beneficiaries for this service. However, we are currently seeking funding to enable us to offer AutoMATI at highly subsidized prices to IDF Reservists whose businesses have suffered while they have been serving their country.
