Supporting Immigrant
Entrepreneurs in Jerusalem

Aliyah is one of the most transformative moments in a Jewish family’s life, yet it comes with profound challenges. For those who arrive with small businesses, the burden is even heavier: they must simultaneously secure housing, education, and social integration while re-establishing their economic activity in a competitive and unfamiliar environment. Despite their determination, too many struggle to integrate successfully. Without targeted support, countless families face the risk of losing both their professional identity and financial security, undermining their long-term integration and resilience in Israel.

MATI PROGRAMS FOR IMMIGRANTS

SUPPORTING OLIM ENTREPRENEURS

MATI’s core projects – business consultancy, courses, workshops and training - are all crucial to ensuring immigrant entrepreneurs have the tools to build sustainable businesses and integrate successfully into Israeli society. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, MATI provides olim throughout Israel with free mentoring in their own language, business courses specialized for olim, free webinars, training courses and networking events, business plans for a symbolic participation fee, and a new Jerusalem Entrepreneurship Aliyah Initiative.

SUCCESS STORIES

PLANS FOR 2026

The Jerusalem Entrepreneurship Aliyah Initiative pilot project is helping Jewish entrepreneurs fleeing antisemitism in France. Starting before they leave France, it offers them and their families a holistic and coordinated support system for their first 6 - 12 months in Israel. As part of this package, MATI’s French-speaking consultants offer them tailored business support, mentoring and training, with guidance on financial planning, banking, taxation, and Israeli regulations.
